Sunday August 16th
Finally, the team's tireless of hours planning, team fundraisers, and alumni and parent donations were put into action. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this trip possible.
Mike and I strolled into Newark, NJ airport finding most of the team waiting; other trickle in over the next 20 minutes. Everyone is on time and ready to go. Everyone shares summer stories and catches up as the coaches hand out team uniforms, balls, and cones to stash in their luggage before we check in. Due to the size of our party an airport official wisely pulls our group aside and allows us to check in as a group at the premier traveler kiosks. We hopped on our plane promptly at 7:50 pm and without too much delay we were off. Everyone is clearly excited to be back together and ready for a United Kingdom adventure.
